Mobium’s Greatest Hits: 2016

Like my first boss always told me, “The past is prologue, again and again.” I’m not exactly sure what he meant, but if 2016 is any indication of what the new year will bring, I’m all fired up.

That’s because we managed to create some truly award-worthy work in key disciplines that will be even more important to client business in 2017. While I’d love to showcase everything we did, I’ll contain myself with just four highlights.

Combining relevant data with engaging, energetic design, Bemis eBooks provide insights and ideas for packaging professionals who want to stay on top of this rapidly changing industry. The year’s most downloaded issue covered e-commerce and its dramatic impact on traditional retail package design. Its content was reinforced at the PackExpo tradeshow in Chicago in a standing-room only talk by a Bemis executive.

2. Animation

Another Bemis project that received widespread attention was the launch of innovative Calypso™ foil lidding. Rather than rely on a traditional live action video introduction, we created a short animation that immediately injected personality into the brand while disrupting category conventions. And we did it all in-house.

3. Video Production

In addition to our creative animation chops, our in-house content production hub, HIVE, was hard at work for clients throughout 2016. For IFF, a non profit lender, real estate consultant, and developer, HIVE team members produced a documentary-style video that focused on the client’s ground-breaking work with non-profits in Cincinnati. We kept the team small, the cameras rolling and the emotions real.

Mobium’s social team had a busy autumn helping client Stan Johnson Company increase interest in its key sales properties through a Facebook program that featured above-average CTR performance (2.41% vs industry average of 0.10%), strong engagement and a 25% decrease in bounce rates.

 

 

So, there you go. A busy and productive year for sure. (And we didn’t even mention our branding or digital work.) But really, only the start of great things to come in 2017. Maybe you’ll be a part of it?
